The MAX7219CWG is a serially interfaced, 8-digit LED display driver. This device can be used in (1)Bar-Graph Displays; (2)7-Segment Displays; (3)Industrial Controllers; (4)Panel Meters; (5)LED Matrix Displays. The devices include a 150uA low-power shutdown mode, analog and digital brightness control, a scanlimit register that allows the user to display from 1 to 8 digits, and a test mode that forces all LEDs on.
